Nina is the creator of Free City and head of menswear at Ron Herman - one of LA's premiere boutiques - Both the men's section at RH and the Free City Supershop in Malibu are well merchandised, but it's Nina's taste, her collections, and her inspiration that make me love her. Her store is filled with everything tactile and unexpected...textiles, teepees, feathers, vintage bells and bikes and horns, books and records, crystals and oils, orange juice and tee shirts. Despite being knocked off constantly, she manages to keep Free City an aspirational brand. From what I can gather, she and her friends ride these mystical bikes around the desert in a state of bliss, dreaming up new wackiness constantly. Invite me, next time!
